For volunteers and parents

Before you apply

Is it safe?

Every destination is scouted beforehand with a local partner church or agency. The team travels together, sleeps together in hosted accommodation, and follows a field leader's instructions at all times. A medical team travels with every trip.

Parents receive the field leader's contact and the daily schedule before departure.

What should I pack?

A Bible, a torch, mosquito repellent and a net, modest clothes for two weeks, a water bottle, any personal medication, and a power bank. A full packing list is sent to accepted volunteers.

Can I stay in touch with my family while away?

Yes, where there is network coverage. Some rural destinations have weak signal; the field leader sends a daily update to a family WhatsApp group so parents are never without news.

Do I need to be a medical professional?

No. Medical professionals are especially welcome, but most volunteers are students and graduates who serve in evangelism, children's ministry, logistics, media and prayer.

What if I cannot afford the cost?

Apply anyway and tick "I need a sponsor". Every year givers sponsor volunteers who could not otherwise go. We will tell you if a sponsor is found.

What is the refund policy?

If you withdraw before the final briefing we refund what you have paid, less any travel already booked for you. If the trip is cancelled, you are refunded in full.

Is there insurance?

The team carries a first-aid and medical kit and travels with medical professionals. Personal travel insurance is recommended for international trips; details are in the acceptance pack.
